11/9/2000 - Can we get more fuel?

Unfortunately it was a short night.  Working on the car after work has it's disadvantages.

Main task of the evening was to get the fuel system back in.  This included the new fuel lines, new custom rail and injectors, and the tank with new pump.  The most difficult part of the adventure was getting the tank back in.  One of the clips that bolts the tank strap in came off and ended up on top of the tank.  Took awhile to find that one.

So here's some of the results.....

here's the tank out of the car
Tank removed
T-fitting used to be here
T-fitting for the local return is no longer needed
new lines all connected
New lines in place. Filter placement remains the same. Almost looks like they were made for the car.
hmmm...
check it out, 3 fuel lines now!
3 fuel lines now
evap and return still connect in the same place
Evap and return lines still connect to the tank lines in the exact same location.
new AN fittings on rail and lines
Here's the new rail and line connections.  Still waiting for a pair of fittings to make the braided lines for the connections.

The new fuel system is made from all OEM parts.  The new lines are P/N 10424769, the rail is a modified version of the '97 Corvette rail P/N 12556705, the regulator is from the '97 as well P/N 12554677, and the injectors are from the SC'd 3800 P/N 24508208.  The fuel pump was supplied in the kit from Incon, a 255 l/hr Walbro.

Here's the engine bay so far.  Much cleaner.

Much better IMO
